What's New

I am proud to announce that we have a NEW and FIRST Canadian Champion. Rebelstar Raincoast Quiet Riot AKA "Brio" is co-owned with Erin Greene and Cheyenne Deptuch of Vancouver Island in Canada. I have always been very hesitant in regards to selling show puppies but these two ladies have made me VERY proud. Brio began his show debut in Canada at 6 months and 1 week. By the time he was 6 months and 3 weeks he was a Canadian Champion. Shown by my dear friend Deborah Foster of Violet Standard Poodles, Brio earned his title in FOUR shows! This was just incredible for a puppy his age. I kept 3 of his sisters that we plan to show later. If I could find a wonderful show home, I would consider placing two of them. They are SeaSea-Rebelstar From Sea to Shining Sea - cream, Jaz-Rebelstar Razed Blu In The Boondocks - blue and Busy-Rebelstar The Devil Wears Prada - silver. The sisters are each incredible and I am very proud of them as well. Special Thanks to Terri Meyers for sharing my vision to find the perfect sire {AM/CAN CH Lemerle Carrington Azure Az Is(Aaron)} to breed to my Jenna.

Rebelstar - James The South Rises Again AKA "Scarlet" was the winner of the 6-9 Puppy Bitch class at the 2007 PCA Nationals in Salisbury, Maryland. Scarlet went on to win Best Standard Puppy and Best Puppy in Show. This was exciting and we are very proud. It is the first for the color red (though she is now a dark apricot) to ever win a placement at the PCA Nationals. I would like to thank Terri Meyers for an extraordinary presentation of Scarlet. Many Thanks to Judge E. Bivins for awarding her Winner of 6-9 Puppy Bitch and Best Standard Puppy. I also wish to thank Ms. Helen Lee James for awarding Best Puppy in Show to Scarlet!

I would also like to thank my daughter Krista for helping to condition Scarlet and for all her help every day. Without her I would be lost.

Thank you Laura Aldus for having the faith in my opinion to pick the best match for your wonderful Lucy, Scarlet's mother. Way to go for you very first litter!!!

The recent recall of dozens of pet food products has caused problems/concerns nationwide. For more on the pet food recalls and the causes of the recalls here are a couple of links:

Here at Rebelstar we WERE feeding Nature's Variety. I was pleased with this food for a long time. However earlier this year we began noticing intermittent diarrhea in all of our dogs. This one would have it one day and then another the next and so on. We discovered it was the FOOD. We have since changed to Taste of the Wild. All of our problems immediately disappeared. As did some problems some of our puppy families were experiencing. TWO MONTHS later Nature's Variety announced on their website that they were experiencing problems and did a recall. Their explanation was they had farmed their recipe out to another manufacturer to help keep up with demand. This was profoundly disappointing to me and our dogs are STILL on Taste of the Wild.
